Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review physician's referral and patient's medical records to help determine therapy treatment.
  • Evaluate, plan, prepare, and perform individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve and/or restore physical functioning,
  • Alleviate pain and/or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
  • Identify and document goals,
  • Anticipated progress and plans for re-evaluation.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of treatment at various stages and adjust treatment to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Provide patients with a meaningful rehab experience utilizing excellent clinical skills and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
  • Prior clinical experience treating the geriatric population.
  • Strong understanding or ability to understand the state, federal and local regulations pertaining to Medicare.
  • Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic health records for Medicare and other payers
  • Strong communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized verbal and written interactions with patients and co-workers.
  • Previous experience in home health preferred but not required

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
