Job Description

Privately owned Internal Medicine office with 2 locations looking for an in house biller to join our team.

Position Responsibilities:

Demographics verification of insurance and data entry
Update patient accounts with corrected insurance information as needed.
Maintain up to date information on various insurance companies and any relevant changes.
Patient phone calls/follow-ups
Patient Payment collections/ posting
Follow up on A/R
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Familiar with CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Submitting claims to the clearing house.

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in billing for Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Familiar with CPT code and ICD-10 coding concepts including 2023 changes.
Understanding of Insurance websites for claim status follow up.
Knowledge of medical and Insurance terminology.
Previous experience with billing.
