JOB DESCRIPTION
If you are a passionate recruiter who also has basic HR knowledge working in various HR disciplines, we are hiring! Ecobat is a world leader in the production of lead, lead alloys, and the recycling of lead batteries. The Recruiter leads all recruiting efforts for our Indianapolis plant as well as providing support to the HR department. This is an in-office position Monday - Friday.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting:
s Develop active and passive recruiting pipelines to find potential recruits, conduct phone screening interviews, gather applications, and assist managers with interviews and final selections.
s Source candidates through internet, professional associations, social media and direct contact.
s Coordinate full cycle hiring activities including job posting, interview scheduling, testing, references, offer letters, background checks, drug screens and travel arrangements.
s Build business relationships with internal managers to expedite searches, interviewing and on-boarding.
s Lead efforts for community branding and job fair activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related discipline:
At least 3 years of human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong experience (3+ years) as a recruiter with experience utilizing job boards, social media, networks and referrals to obtain the best talent quickly and efficiently.
Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills which include solid grammar skills, excellent listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively through the telephone, in-person and electronic methods.
Strong analytical, relationship building, and customer service skills are required.
Must have strong computer aptitude, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
A self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects at once and a desire to go above and beyond what is expected.
