Position Summary: Tidal Basin is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an upcoming large-scale, state-funded grants management program. Tidal Basin is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an upcoming large-scale, state-funded grants management program. The objective of the Project Manager is to manage all aspects of a project within a larger program which will provide statewide support to county governments to fund, preserve, and strengthen local elderly care support systems.


Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

Provide project management oversight and work effectively as part of a team to provide expert services. Specific duties may include:

  • Provide advisory and consulting services to state and local government agencies to support ongoing operations and preservation of existing licensed elderly care facilities serving residents on SSI/SSP or Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI).
  • Supervise a team of managers who monitor a portfolio of ~80 grant agreements.
  • Coordinate with a team of technical construction experts in support of preservation projects.
  • Provide program oversight and expert technical assistance on policies, principles, and standard operating procedures related to preservation projects and state regulations.
  • Ensure compliance of all grants with state guidelines.
  • Devise solutions-oriented strategies that facilitate program compliance and success.
  • Develop management tools for program targeting and performance reporting.
  • Establish performance objectives and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Write formal reports that are clear, concise, and easily understood.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently and pro-actively identify key steps to complete requested client outcomes.
  • Excellent client relations and an understanding of local, state, and federal government structure.
  • Experience working with federal and state grant-funded programs.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; AND,
  • 5+ years in grant management, project management, government grant-funding, public administration, or a related field.
  • Experience facilitating organizational change and course-correcting operations.
  • Experience managing a team of professionals with disparate skill sets.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience managing a state government program with a budget over $200M a plus.
  • Travel required.
