Our company has been recognized numerous times over the last 30 years for its outstanding sales and service of industrial cleaning equipment. Advanced Cleaning Equipment, Inc. carries a full line of hot high-pressure washers, steam cleaners, cabinet washers, floor care, parts and accessories, and we service all major brands. We also have a full line of cleaning detergents for use in truck and heavy equipment cleaning.

Job Description

Purpose

Performs receptionist duties, which include greeting and directing visitors, answering incoming calls, distributing mail, and assisting in scheduling meetings as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate multi-line telephone system to relay incoming and interoffice calls.

· Answers and transfers phone calls, or relays messages. Good Oral Communication skills.

· Greets and registers visitors, informs employees of the visitor's arrival, and directs visitors to the appropriate meeting room.

· Collects and distributes mail

· Schedules meetings, and arranges for conference rooms or makes other logistical arrangements as required.

· May perform occasional clerical duties, such as data entry, or photocopying.

· Maintain a clean and neat reception area.

· Operates office machines such as printers, faxes, and other machines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

Experience

6 months to 2 year experience as a receptionist using a multiline phone system.

Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

· Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Advanced interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with managers, supervisors, employees, and the general public.

· Ability to consistently project a professional demeanor and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

· Ability to utilize good judgment and work independently while recognizing the importance of working within established procedures and departmental requirements.

· Ability to independently problem-solve as well as become familiar with organizational structure in order to effectively handle and direct inquires to the appropriate individual or resource.

· Advanced skills with a multiline phone system.

· Strong organizational skills supporting the ability to multi-task in simultaneously satisfying multiple demands.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability and willingness to sit in an office environment, working at a computer, and performing data input for long periods of time. Minor lifting consisting of reems of paper and office equipment sometimes weighing up to 25 pounds. Walking to other departments in the building.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normally in a typical office environment with a computer. Most of the time sitting at the front desk for most of the workday.
