Job Description

The Lincoln Electricn Company-Kaliburn location engineers and manufactures plasma cutting systems, plasma torches, plasma consumables and control system units for high-tech cutting applications. Building new products that constantly raise the bar in the industry is possible through a strong foundation of engineering talent such as mechanical, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and software engineers.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Assist with the design, modification, development, and implementation of software programming applications.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in full life cycle development using structured design methodologies including test driven development, unit testing, code reviews and scrum
  • Work closely with senior software developers on assigned projects
  • Accurately report project status to project facilitator
  • Follow source repository processes
  • Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Currently enrolled in Undergraduate or Graduate program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related engineering field
  • Intermediate understanding of software development and testing processes
  • Intermediate programming skills in one or more modern object-oriented languages (C# preferred)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proactive with a strong desire to learn
