Location of Job: Spokane, WA – Hybrid (~80% Remote)

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of AGV’s IP Solutions business group. This position is in our Spokane, WA office.

Your impact as an QA Engineer Intern:

As a QA Engineer Intern for the Aon IP Solutions group, you are responsible for the creation, preparation, and execution of quality assurance test plans and test scripts. Perform testing of complex, data-driven web applications in a variety of test environments. This position requires leveraging an understanding of the application environment as well as requirements and specifications to ensure compliance with testing best practices and functional requirements.

Required Education:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelors/Masters in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, able to work independently.

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Experience with source code control tooling such as GitHub/GitLab.
  • Working knowledge of AWS or similar cloud-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries and data validation.
  • Knowledge of UI web-based test automation and tooling such as Cypress or Selenium.

Expectations:

  • Work collaboratively with software engineers in Agile methodology.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test cases with requirements traceability.
  • Report and verify the resolution of software and specification defects.
  • Supervise and investigate log errors generated by the system(s).
  • Support production deployments and post verification.
  • Support investigation and troubleshooting of production issues.
  • Automate API/UI test cases using pytest or Cypress.

The goal of the Aon Summer Internship Program is to give students significant exposure to Aon through project deliverables, continuing education and a training curriculum. The program also provides students with an excellent opportunity to learn and prepare for post‐graduate career opportunities at Aon. Upon successful completion of the Aon Summer Internship Program, highly qualified interns may be offered post-graduation full‐time positions within the Launch Program, Aon’s Early Career Development Program.

The target salary range for this position is $21 - $25 per hour. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
