Overview
As a Digital Asset Specialist you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and distributing digital assets from Digital Asset Management systems and modules. You will organize asset catalog structures, create effective metadata schema and validations, and develop and generate taxonomies and glossaries. You will work with the team responsible for all marketing material distribution systems and channels. You will generally work independently on moderately complex production and media efforts or as a team member on larger projects.

Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

  • Cooperates with teams to develop objectives and strategies that will be used to identify, design, and implement program goals, including mission, vision, and milestones associated with the provision of digital production, marketing assets, and content delivery integration that meet both current and future needs.
  • Coordinates closely with large teams and technology engagements, receiving digital assets and managing them by adhering to and maintaining meticulous digital naming conventions, file management, metadata, and quality control.
  • Follows established guidelines, best practices, and standardization adopted by the digital asset management team. (e.g., naming taxonomies, metadata schema, tagging standards, governance). Maintains guideline and training documentation for future continuity in managing assets.
  • Upholds standards for user-flows and account access. Ensures marketing material is available through required platforms/channels/markets, removes content from the market as requested, and retains the library of all approved assets of use.
  • Performs ongoing analysis, reporting, and documenting lessons learned to effectively audit system performance. Uses metrics to track, report, and optimize Digital Asset Management services and operations. May perform test and learn plans to learn what works best and reports on asset usage.
  • Serves as a contributing team member on work teams that research and integrate digital management systems with asset delivery platforms such as CMS platforms, brand portals, and video streaming services. Balances tradeoffs between business and technical implications focusing on fit for purpose and cost to value solutions. Maintains a working technical understanding of all applicable systems, security, and networks.
  • Collaborates with internal cross functional groups to continuously improve the Digital Asset Management experience within the ministry.
  • May provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the media content discipline.

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Experience editing written copy
  • Proficiency in excel
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
  • Experience working with DAM systems (preferred)
