Position Title: Assistant Airport Director
Position Summary: The Assistant Director is a member of the executive team for the Monroe County
Airport. They work closely with the Airport Director, Finance Manager, and
Operations Staff to accomplish the Airport’s mission, goals, and objectives. The successful candidate will have well-developed skills in leveraging the operational knowledge of key team members to ensure the Airport is safe, clean, operates efficiently, and is always in a serviceable condition. The Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to-day activities of Operations/Maintenance personnel and contractors. They direct the Airport’s daily FAA compliance requirement activities and those associated with the annual FAA 139 inspection process. An essential part of the Assistant Director’s position is assisting Airport staff during emergencies, including aircraft or vehicle accidents, inclement weather conditions, fuel spills, and other emergencies.
The Ideal candidate will be a proven leader eager to broaden their operational skill set at a regional General Aviation Airport that operates under FAA Part 139.
Qualifications: 4-Year degree in Aviation Management, Airport Management,
Business Administration, or closely related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years airport experience, 2-year supervisory experience.
Salary: $58,656 - $74,298/year. Full benefits.
